Math Week 28 February – 4 March
The Mathematics Department will be hosting Mathematics Week from 28 February to 4 March 2011 under the theme “Believe it or Not, Math Rocks the World!”

World Mathematics Day Tuesday, 1 March 2011 you are invited to our Open House Day where the opportunity will be given for you to observe a Mathematics lesson and for you to see your child’s class project on display.  Also there will be a special parent evening on Thursday, 3 March 2011 where you will be exposed to various activities that will help you to assist your child at home.

Home School Association
Social tomorrow- Movies and Moonlight 7pm at Dart Park South Sound
Meet the Parents next Friday 1st March 7:30-8:30am- H.S.A. EXECUTIVE on school site to meet with parents
H.S.A. meeting Tuesday 8th March 2011 at 5:30pm- Special Panel Discussion on Social and Legal Responsibilities of Parenting

P.E. Clothes
The school is currently fitting students for their P.E. jerseys and shorts.  More information will be provided regarding the price at a later date.

Evaluation
Parents, please be reminded that this term students are evaluated on a bi-monthly basis.  Reports will be sent out no later than Friday, 4 March 2011.

Week of Prayer
Cayman Academy Spring Week of Prayer will be held on Monday, March 21 to Friday, March 25.  More details will be given at a later date.

Sodas
Sodas will no longer be allowed at Cayman Academy.

Classroom Visits
Parents are kindly asked to desist from visiting classrooms, except for Pre-K to Grade 1.  Parents wanting to collect or speak with their child/ward are required to contact the office and request permission to see them.

Late Passes
School officially begins at 8:30 a.m.  Students  arriving after 8:35 a.m. must collect pass from the office.  They will not be allowed to enter class without it.

Reference Letters
Parents/guardians are kindly asked to give the office at least five working days when requesting a letter of reference/referrals.

After School Sales
Each week a different class will be selling after school snacks.  Kindergarten will be selling next week February 21-25. Please support this programme.  All proceeds will go directly towards the purchase of supplies for the class.

Release Passes
Students are not allowed to leave Cayman Academy during school   hours, 8:30 a.m. to 3:10 p.m. without a release pass.

Students are not allowed to leave Cayman Academy compound to purchase items from the ice cream truck.
